Photographer of all things great and small — especially small.
Depending upon how you know me or where you met me, I’m either Joanne, JoJo, J.So, or JoSo. I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, drawing, painting and sculpting the majority of my childhood. I knew which college I would attend by the time I was 13 or 14. My life has always, in one way or another, involved creativity. Photography was a passion from an early age as well, but film, developing and the fact that I never seemed to have any money deterred me in my younger years. As I got older, I would take rolls and rolls of film just to get that one good shot. Digital photography has helped me grow as a photographer with the instant ability to see how the shot came out. This was especially important on the day my oldest niece was born and I was the only one with a camera. 800+ shots later, she was still only 10-11 hours old!
Today, I shoot anything and everything. I enjoy photographing children most of all though. Every emotion and thought is evident on their faces and their eyes are so clear and hopeful. There is nothing more satisfying to me than getting that perfect shot of a moment in a child’s life.

What could be better?
The photo above is of my niece Jordyn and her parents. Jordyn always wakes up happy and this lazy Sunday morning cuddle between the three of them made an informal, but beautiful family portrait.
